CIO Scholarship for SFSU College of Business Information System Students

The CIO Scholarship Fund Endowment in Information Systems has made $1000 available this spring for Information Systems undergraduates. Two scholarship awards will be made in Spring 2012 to students graduating in May 2012 to May 2013. The CIO Scholarship program will continue with each academic year. Applications should be submitted to the CoB Student Services Advising Center, BUS 112, by 5 p.m., March 30 th, 2012. The award is an honor that can be included in a resume.

Applicants should have an SFSU GPA of at least 3.0 and be students in the Information Systems Department Concentration.
The application should comprise:

  1. A letter of application, including the student number, an address for communications and your mailing addresses on and off campus.
  2. A short 1 or 2 page resume/C.V.
  3. Two references with at least one from an Information Systems professor.
  4. A written discussion of how the student would use the award. If an application had been made for financial help from the university's financial aid office, please indicate if a grant was given and its source, if a loan was made and its source, and whether additional unmet needs were identified and the amount. This information will not influence the granting of a scholarship award to a worthy candidate.
